The first annual pilgrimage to the Mother Teresa Shrine at Marian Valley was held on Saturday 5 October 2019.
Despite a forecast of wet weather, hundreds of people made the journey to Marian Valley to honour this wonderful saint.
The program began at 10:00am with a BYO Morning Tea. Because of the weather, we couldn’t make full use of the grounds, but huddled under the shelter areas to keep dry. After an hour of settling in and meeting friends, Mass began at 11am and concluded with the procession to the Shrine, where we sang hymns along the way. Thankfully the rain held off for the procession and the prayers at the Shrine.
After the ceremony at the Shrine and some beautiful words from the sisters, we made our way back to the main Church and shared lunch. It was then that the rain started up again!
It was a beautiful day had by all.
